Printer Cabinet Finally done! RH knock off!

So if you read the post below this one, you'll have seen that I've been working 

on this printer cabinet like the one being sold by Restoration Hardware. 

Jen Woodhouse over at House of Wood, had Ana White draw up some plans for her after seeing

this cabinet. I liked Jen's so much, and got such inspiration from her, that I decided I

wanted one too! My husband was kind enough to humor me and lend a hand.

Both of these women are absolutely amazing!

 I made a few changes and will touch on those. I also made mistakes! 

If I had to build another one, it would be easier! 

So please, if you plan on doing one of these, follow closely! I will save your sanity!

Wood: I wanted something different. I didn't want to use pine or douglas fir. I walked around

SEAWORTHY FINALLY wine crate handpainted side table

Ive found the time to get the wine crate table completely finished and ready to go.

Inside the table is stamped with October 1969, so its officially older then I am.

It was sanded first, 4 coats of primer applied, then 3 coats of paint finished the body off.

The process of getting the labelled painted and protected on the surface can be found here.

I painted the original hardware in flat black.

Reclaimed Wood Herringbone Ceiling room finally has furniture!!

So those of you who recall the reclaimed wood herringbone

 ceiling  project  (HERE)

that we did a few months ago, FINALLY can see the whole room with my

reupholstered furniture! 

Only took 7 weeks to get my stuff back!!

 I seriously need to get a pro-photographer. The pictures look so flat! 

 But this will have to do for now.

I'm not keeping the white chair in the corner. I will look for something different. 

But the Ikat fabric chair is one of my re-dos!!
